Martin Gomez

To date, Martin has written seven feature films, over thirty short films, and has over a dozen produced films under his belt. In 2013, Martin’s feature film “Fitness for Dummies” placed in several screenwriting competitions including Scriptapalooza, where it placed in the top 100 out of nearly 4000 entries.

Martin has also taught screenwriting workshops with the Film Consortium, San Diego as well as the Digital Gym. He has also been a guest speaker, discussing screenwriting, at UCSD, UCSD Extension and the Media Arts Center, San Diego.

In this hands-on workshop, we will be focusing on techniques that will assist a writer in beginning, and more importantly, finishing their first feature-length screenplay. Learn ways to organize your thoughts and story prior to beginning your first draft, ways to avoid common pitfalls of the novice writer, and also discover valuable resources that will assist you along the way. You will also have the chance to meet and mingle with fellow writers and create valuable contacts. After all, networking is the lifeblood of the film industry.
